I specialize in second-line consultations for cats, with a particular focus on complex or chronic health issues. Some of the most common cases I see include:

  • Chronic vomiting or diarrhea
  • Poor appetite or eating difficulties
  • Urinary tract issues
  • Kidney or thyroid problems
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Feline astma/ bronchitis 

Senior Cat Care

As cats age, they often develop multiple health conditions that require a tailored, holistic approach. Through comprehensive senior check-ups — including the Senior Screening Plus — I aim to detect early signs of disease and improve the quality of life of senior cats.

FIP Consultations & Monitoring

Since 2023, it has been possible to legally treat cats with FIP in the Netherlands. I am proud to be part of the Dutch FIP team. Although the official research program has ended, several specialized clinics — including AniCura Specialist Referral Center Haaglanden (Rijswijk) and AniCura Veterinary Referral Center Dordrecht, where I work — continue to offer FIP intake consultations. Together, these clinics have already assessed more than 1,000 cats suspected of FIP.
 If you suspect your cat may have FIP, please contact your veterinarian for a referral to one of the participating clinics.

What I Don’t Do

I generally do not provide routine vaccinations or first-line care, unless this has been specifically agreed upon and approved by the referring veterinarian.

Sharing Knowledge

Alongside my clinical work, I regularly provide continuing education for veterinarians and veterinary nurses at events such as Feline Focus, Utrecht Vet Event, and the Feline Symposium. I also publish articles and share insights on feline health — helping both cat owners and veterinary professionals stay informed.
