Expert care for cats with complicated problems
I am drs. Marieke Knies, a European specialist in veterinary internal medicine and an incurable cat person. I help cats with complex or chronic conditions—mainly in the Haaglanden region and one day a week in Dordrecht.
When can I help?
Complex symptoms
- Chronic vomiting or diarrhoea
- Poor appetite or weight loss
- Urinary tract problems
- Feline asthma or bronchitis
Chronic disease
- Kidney or thyroid disease
- Diabetes mellitus
- Multiple conditions in older cats
- Cases requiring further investigation
FIP support
I am part of the Dutch FIP team. Cats suspected of FIP can be assessed and monitored at participating referral clinics after referral by their own veterinarian.
Referral care, not routine first-line care
I generally do not provide routine vaccinations or ordinary first-line consultations. For an appointment, ask your own veterinarian for a referral and contact the relevant clinic directly.
